Howard Chaykin Endorses Do the Gods Wear Capes?

We just received this great endorsement for Do the Gods Wear Capes from comics legend Howard Chaykin. He is the creator of American Flagg, Black Kiss, and Mighty Love, among many other comics and graphic novels.

I found Mr. Saunders’ extended essays on the relationship between superheroes and our concepts of god, gods, and goddesses an entertaining and thoughtful read.  To be specific, his extended discussion of the original, odd and internally contradictory conception of Wonder Woman made me think for quite some time about how to create a modern equivalent of what was clearly an early form of transgressive characterization in the comic book medium.
